We are currently seeking written pieces to be featured in March, coinciding with the month of Ramadan.
The theme ‘The Ramadan you never knew’ aims to explore the aspects of the month that go beyond platitudes and common perceptions.
We would love to read stories that are personal, esoteric or surprising. Tales that fill our curiosities, change perceptions, and offer a new discovery whether or not the reader is familiar with Ramadan.
For bonus points, include a connection to a book – any book, any genre.
Open to all writers, Muslim or non-Muslim.
Please send your written works – essays, stories, poetry, book reviews, reflections, listicles – to submissions@stretchyourshelf.com anytime from now until 20 March 2025.
(Word document, Times New Roman 12pt, double spaced.)
Selected articles will be featured on the website and on highlighted on our social accounts.
Any required editing will be cleared with the author prior to publication.
Publications are paid, though modestly. As we start out together, we currently offer an AU$25 payment per published work.
